Austin & Rachel’s Surprise Beach Proposal | Long Beach Island, NJ
Let me start by saying, I’ve known Austin since I was about 12 years old so when he reached out about surprising his amazing girlfriend Rachel with a ring,I knew this was one of the biggest honors I could’ve had! To share this moment with two amazing people who I know God matched perfectly for each other (they truly are soulmates, no doubt about it) was such a blessing in itself!
From the first message I could hear Austin the happiest and most excited he’s ever been before, he couldn’t stop gushing on about Rachel and how he couldn’t wait to spend the rest of his life with her. Listening to him, sounded just like Chris (my fiancé and amazing second shooter for those new here) and I feel like it’s very rare to find that kind of love nowadays.
We eagerly planned every minuscule detail to the perfect beach sunrise setting! When I asked Austin about the importance behind this place and he had the biggest smile on his face and said “It is the exact place we were when I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.” From there on he showed me pictures of them on that exact day and how happy and adorable they were!
We did a few location scouts and tracked down the best idea; Chris and I would pretend to be a couple watching the sunrise (which is pretty true since that did happen lol) but undercover have our cameras for when the moment arose! So when the day came I jumped up and pulled Chris out of bed at 2 am and we were on our way to our special beach spot near Barnegat Lighthouse! Not only were we unpacked and ready, we had the beautiful sunrise peaking up as we eagerly awaited Austin’s text updates!
As soon as we got the “Here!” text we practically could’t contain the butterflies in our stomach, as we know Austin had them too! We patiently (not really lol) waited for our signal and I bear crawled my way up the sand dune, while Chris stayed on the bottom with a zoom lens and together we captured the most amazing proposal to date!
Here’s a look into their amazing moment and our little impromptu engagement session (also I would like to add how cute was it that Rachel’s family packed her extra outfits that she could wear for our extra session!?!)
I’m so grateful to have had the privilege to capture and share this amazing moment for these two amazing people! I with them the best of luck on this new journey and amazing new chapter in their lives! <3
